Is SCFA really free?

Yes. SCFA is a public charter school, funded the same way as your local district school. There is no tuition ever.

K–12 students who live in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Kern, or Inyo County. Enrollment is open year-round.

Yes. SCFA is accredited by Cognia and is an authorized California public charter school.

Parents or guardians act as “learning coaches”; you support your student at home while SCFA’s credentialed teachers handle instruction, grading, and academic planning. Involvement is highest in the elementary grades and tapers as students become more independent.

Students work through a California-standards online curriculum with lessons, projects, labs, discussions, and assessments. Teachers meet regularly with students and families to review progress. High schoolers can take honors, AP, and career-readiness courses.
